What is CWR?

Support and Development Centre (CWR)

The Support and Development Centre (CWR) was established pursuant to Ordinance No. 14/2020 of the Rector of Poznań University of Life Sciences, issued on 3 February 2020. The Centre was created on the initiative of Professor Cezary Mądrzak, then Vice-Rector for Studies, together with a group of specialists employed at Poznań University of Life Sciences who were engaged in psychological and social support issues.

The establishment of the Centre was a response to the growing needs of the university community for support in addressing challenges related to personal development, interpersonal relationships, career planning, and the labour market.

The Support and Development Centre of Poznań University of Life Sciences was established to:

  • support prospective students, students, graduates, and university staff in various aspects of their activity related to PULS;
  • develop the social skills and competencies of students and staff members;
  • support students in ensuring equal access to education;
  • create conditions enabling persons with disabilities to participate fully in recruitment, education, and research activities;
  • assist the University, its employees, and students through interventions in difficult and crisis situations;
  • support the University in fulfilling its mission and contribute to building its positive image.

Main Areas of Activity

The Centre's key areas of activity include:

  • psychological support, including crisis intervention and individual counselling (also available through the SDC online support service);
  • Career Office activities, including employer relations, job placement services, event organisation, and maintaining contact with alumni;
  • career guidance and entrepreneurship counselling;
  • coaching and personal development support, including skills coaching;
  • improving accessibility at PULS for persons with disabilities, including the implementation of educational accommodations and support measures.

The Support and Development Centre remains an open and flexible team whose role is to respond to emerging needs resulting from changing circumstances within the University's areas of activity. Whenever necessary, external specialists and students are invited to cooperate with the Centre. Through a peer-to-peer approach, students can also provide support to their fellow students.

The Centre's activities are supported by the Rector's Plenipotentiaries for:

  • Persons with Disabilities,
  • Addiction Prevention,
